Ashwagandha

It is a shrub which is originally grown in India and the name of this herb actually means ‘strength’. This herb is said to increase the vitality in a human body and it also balances the stress hormones. This herb can help one with the adrenaline fatigue issue. One an add some powdered Ashwagandha in their morning tonic on a daily basis or take it as supplement.

Brahmi

This as everyone knows is the ultimate brain tonic according to Ayurveda. The leaves of this plant also look like a shape of brain. This particular herb helps one to balance the right and left hemisphere of the brain so that one can operate both of their intuitive and analytical side of brains well. One can be able to balance both by this. Brahmi can also be taken as a powder or a supplement but in most brain tonic Brahmi is used as a major ingredient.

Cardamom

This is a spice which is available in most Indian kitchens. This can help one to remove excess ‘kapha’ (which is an ayurvedic dosha) from the body. If there is excess ‘kapha’ in the body then one cam suffers from phlegm, mucus, lethargy, weight gain and other issues. One can also suffer from slow metabolism. One can add some ground cardamom in their black tea to get the benefits of it.

Cumin

This is another spice which is mostly grown in Asia, Europe and Africa. This particular thing is great for digestion and it can give relief to people who are suffering from constipation, bloating, anxiety, cracking joints and dry skin. One can use it as a part of their digestive enhancing tonic where they can also add fennel and coriander.

Manjistha

This is a herb which is mainly grown in mountains. This one is said to purify the blood. It has a lot of cooling properties and one can get relief from inflammation by having this. This herb also helps in clearing the acne, rashes and other skin issues. It also helps to cool down people who are impatient. One can intake them as a powder or a tonic.

Turmeric

This is another spice which is often used in Indian cuisine. This ayurvedic herb has high anti-inflammatory properties. The main component of this herb is curcumin and it has some anti depressive agents too. One can add them to their cooking or can also make a spicy lemonade with a dash of lemon and turmeric. One can also add turmeric powder to hot milk and have it.
